Been a gamer from the 1980s I have a nostalgic love of the classic games such as D&D. Tripod’s website have combined this with their quirky music for a killer combination that expresses what Tripod’s about. Also check out April77, who designed Tripod’s site.
Art Design in Computer Games creates the entire feel of the game experience for the player, so as you can understand it is a critical part of the game.
Another thing that is common these days is to mash together or combine differing genres of games.
For example: Steampunk, which combines high technology with a Victorian aesthetics and appears to become a sub-genre in it’s own right. And Western style.

Sixty Symbols by Nottingham University’s Physics Department, which has a similar format to the above but focusing on physic.

Now there appears to be a convergence of computing operating systems, software, and networking, as Google continues to spread into other areas of IT traditional controlled by other companies like Microsoft (ie Google Docs vs MS Office) and Adobe (Illustrator vs Google Sketch-up)
