James showed me Chris Scalf’s website, and it has to be some of the best work with Photoshop I’ve ever seen. If Illustration is your interest, then it shows you what is possible.  With a lot of passion any area of Multimedia can produce art like that, no matter which IT tool you use.

There are some good examples of Tonal Photos, Color Photos, and Washes on the betterphoto.com website.

And a tutorial on creating a sepia wash with chemicals or photoshop.  Since I can’t do the first, I tried the second.  It worked but the instructions are a little out of date.  (http://photo.net/photo/sepia/index)

Note that for Photoshop CS 3.  Click in the color curve box (ie first one) to modify the curves, then the second box to select the PANTONE … colors.  But other than that it was easy to follow.
