Been a gamer from the 1980s I have a nostalgic love of the classic games such as D&D.  Tripod’s website have combined this with their quirky music for a killer combination that expresses what Tripod’s about. Also check out April77, who designed Tripod’s site.

The stuff she does produce is great 3D work with a nice bit of flare, however….  the website does her no favours, because it does not provide a good over view of her as an artist, or demonstrate her design skills.  http://www.rosemoxon.com/

This site needs a revamp.

  • Make the site display on any web-broswer
  • Fix the size of the image to work with any screen size
  • Make sure all the links work, including the gallery

Ways to achieve this;

  • Use a Content Management System (CMS), or a blog (Wordpress.com), or similar system to help handle the website.
  • Create a consistent theme for the website.  This can be done with a CMS, or a blog, but it does take a little bit of work.

HTML or Hyper Text Markup Language is the standard for creating Web pages. The World Wide Web Consortium is responsible for maintaining the standard and developing new standards for emerging technologies. There is a standardized form of HTML as used in webpages (see http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/), but it’s a hard document to wade through. However, one of the developers of the standard Dave Raggett has created some useful pages for gaining an understanding of HTML and how it is used with webpages.

And these three little pages helped me no end with learning HTML.

I also use the Barebones guide to HTML as a reference (http://werbach.com/barebones/download.html)

And a useful tool to double check your HTML is TidyHTML (http://tidy.sourceforge.net/) which corrects tag mistakes.
